PODGORICA, 28.Juni 2002. Ein Untersuchungsausschuß
des Parlaments der Teilrepublik Montenegro hat die
Vorwürfe der kroatischen Tageszeitung "Nacional" an
die separatistische Führung der Teilrepublik über
deren Verwicklung in den großangelegten
Zigarettenschmuggel auf dem Balkan bestätigt.
Der Vorsitzende des Ausschusses, Novak Radulovic
erklärte bei der Vorstellung des Abschlußberichts des
Untersuchungsausschusses, daß die Vorwürfe des
"Nacional" berechtigt seien. "Es ist unzweifelhaft,
daß die höchste politische Spitze Montenegros in
mafiös-kriminelle Tätigkeiten beim Schmuggel von
Zigaretten in und durch Montenegro verwickelt ist",
so Radulovic.
Gegen den separatistischen Präsidenten der
Teilrepublik, Milo Djukanovic, läuft seit einigen
Wochen ein Ermittlingsverfahren wegen
Zigarettenschmuggels in Italien.

PODGORICA, August 9 (Tanjug) - Yugoslav Ambassador to Italy Miodrag
Lekic has said that he views as embarrassing the situation in which
the Italian judicial institutions are carrying out an investigation
against Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic because of his alleged
involvement in cigarette smuggling.
As far as I know, an open investigation is carried out in which
Djukanovic is one of its objects, Lekic said in an interview for a
local TV, and added that the whole issue was very embarrassing, and
that everyone from Montenegro, including himself, felt embarrassed
because of the way in which the Italian press wrote about the
Montenegrin president.
Lekic pointed out that the Montenegrin authorities had a completely
wrong attitude towards the issue, and said that they had been
defending themselves by launching certain conspiracy theories that
someone had something against Montenegro and that everything had
been motivated by political reasons, which is quite incorrect and
wrong. The ambassador said he believed that Djukanovic should reject
the accusations coming from Italy, and stressed that as far as he
could see, there was no political background to the issue, but the
issue here was whether something was a crime or not.

VALENTINA SETA NUOVO CONSOLE ITALIANO IN MONTENEGRO
Djukanovic, Perovic receive Italian consul
PODGORICA, Oct 20 (Tanjug) - Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic
assessed on Thursday, in talks with the newly-appointed consul of
the Republic of Italy to Montenegro, Valentina Seta, that Italy is
not only a traditional partner of Montenegro, but also its bridge to
Europe.
The Italian consul said she was satisfied with conducting a mission in
Montenegro and underlined that many problems in bilateral relations of
the two neighbouring countries have been overcome, said a statement
from Djukanovic's cabinet.
Montenegrin parliament speaker Vesna Perovic also received the
newly-appointed consul of Italy, and she informed the guest about the
current political situation in Montenegro and the most important issues
related to the starting of reforms following the legislative elections
on October 20.

This is the result of the coalition agreement, signed between the
presidents of the Socialist People's Party, the People's Party and the
Serb People's Party, Predrag Bulatovic, Dragan Soc and Bozidar Bojovic,
reporters were told on Sept. 25. The coalition will run in Montenegro's
Oct. 20 legislature elections under the slogan "Together For Montenegro,
Together For Changes".

PODGORICA, Sept. 26 (Beta) - Seven coalitions and three parties
will participate in the extraordinary parliamentary elections in
Montenegro, due to take place on October 20.
The Montenegrin Republic Electoral Commission has confirmed
nine lists up to now. But, it returned the election list of the
Socialist Party of Yugoslavia for the Preservation of Yugoslavia
for further elaboration.
The Republic Electoral Commission has confirmed the electoral
list of the Together for Changes coalition, consisting of the
Socialist People's Party, the Serbian People's Party and the
People's Party, as well as the list of the Patriotic Coalition
for Yugoslavia, made up of the People's Socialist Party, the
Serbian Radical Party led by Vojislav Seselj, the Yugoslav
Allied Left and the Party of Foreign Currency Depositors.
Other confirmed lists include the list of the Albanians
Together Democratic Coalition, the Bosnian Democratic Coalition
Harun Hadzic and the Bosniak coalition as well as the lists of
the Liberal Alliance and the Party for the Protection of Savings
Deposits and Social Security.
The Republic Electoral Commission confirmed earlier on the
electoral list of the Democratic Party of Socialists and the
SocialDemocratic Party entitled The Democratic List for a
European Montenegro Milo Djukanovic and the list of the Serbian
Radical Party led by Ilija Darmanovic.
The member of the Republic Electoral Commission, Neven Gosovic,
said that the list of the Socialist Party of Yugoslavia had been
returned for further elaboration because the submitted electoral
material did not include the decision of the relevant party
bodies confirming the common electoral list of the coalition.
The Republic Electoral Commission will confirm the joint
electoral list by drawing lots by October 5 at the latest. Until
that time the submitters of lists have the right to withdraw
from the electoral race.
The election campaign for extraordinary parliamentary elections
in Montenegro officially began at midnight on September 25, when
the deadline for submitting the electoral lists expired. It will
last until October 18 at midnight when the oneday media silence is
due to begin.
The majority of the Montenegrin parties will base their election
campaign on the importance of economic reforms while opposition
parties would insist on ousting Montenegrin president Milo
Djukanovic from power.

Montenegrin premier rules out future use of name Yugoslavia
PODGORICA, Oct 12 (Tanjug) - Outgoing Montenegrin Premier Filip
Vujanovic said Saturday that the signatories of the Belgrade
agreement on reforming the Serbia-Montenegro relations have agreed
to call the future state community Serbia and Montenegro, and that
Montenegro will never again use the name Yugoslavia.
Agreement was reached within 10 seconds on the new name, as it is
intolerable to hide behind the alien name Yugoslavia any more,
Vujanovic told a meeting of the Democratic Party of Socialists
(of which he is vice-president) youth.
Referring to the announcement of the Socialist People's Party
(SNP) leader Predrag Bulatovic that the SNP-led coalition will
advocate the preservation of the name Yugoslavia, Vujanovic said
that Bulatovic wants to return to the past characterized by
sanctions and war.

CONTRABBANDO: GDF,IN NORD ALBANIA NUOVE BASI DEI TRAFFICANTI
(ANSA) - BARI, 18 SET - I contrabbandieri di sigarette che
operano nei Balcani starebbero spostando le proprie 'basi
operative' nel Nord dell' Albania, ai confini con il Montenegro
che e' stato dal 1996 al 2000 - secondo la Dda di Bari - la
'patria' del contrabbando e il 'confino' dorato dei latitanti
appartenenti alle organizzazioni mafiose pugliesi e campane.
E' quanto ipotizzano fonti della Guardia di Finanza di Bari che
hanno informato i magistrati della Direzione distrettuale
antimafia sui nuovi ipotetici scenari del traffico
internazionale di sigarette di contrabbando.
A quanto si e' saputo, la Finanza ha documentato gli spostamenti
di molti contrabbandieri - alcuni dei quali ritenuti finora
insospettabili - dal Montenegro (ma anche dalla Grecia) in
localita' a Nord dell' Albania.
Oltre a spostarsi in queste zone - si e' appreso - i
contrabbandieri starebbero contrattando l'acquisto di grossi
scafi da utilizzare per i traffici illeciti. In questo modo -
ipotizzano gli investigatori - penserebbero nuovamente di
inviare in Italia le sigarette a bordo di scafi 'blu'
sfruttando pero' nuove rotte: verso il Nord della Puglia,
ma anche verso Termoli e Vasto. Finora su questi fatti i
militari non hanno inviato alcuna informativa di reato alla
magistratura in attesa di ''raccogliere ulteriori elementi''.
Le 'bionde', dopo l' avvio dell' operazione 'Primavera',
che smantello' intere organizzazioni criminali, continuano
a giungere in Puglia, anche se in quantita' ridotte, ma non
piu' a bordo dei cosiddetti scafi 'blu', bensi' su Tir che
giungono in Italia con traghetti di linea che attraversano
la frontiera marittima di Bari, Brindisi e Ancona.
Destinazione finale, secondo gli investigatori, il ''fiorente''
mercato della Gran Bretagna. Secondo le indagini in corso,
l' attivita' dei contrabbandieri che si apprestano a operare
nel Nord dell' Albania non sarebbe solo finalizzata a
riorganizzare la flotta composta da bolidi del mare, ma
all'acquisto di capannoni da utilizzare come depositi in
cui stipare le 'bionde'. La vicenda, sulla quale non esiste
finora un'indagine penale, e' all' attenzione - a quanto si e'
potuto sapere - del sostituto procuratore della Dda di
Bari Giovanni Giorgio. Questi e' subentrato al suo collega
Giuseppe Scelsi in inchieste sui traffici illeciti di
sigarette poiche' Scelsi, il prossimo febbraio, cessera'
il suo incarico presso la distrettuale per tornare alla

CONTRABBANDO: ERRORE NOTIFICA, PERICOLO SCARCERAZIONI A BARI
(ANSA) - BARI, 3 OTT - Per un errore di notifica dell' ufficio gip (l'
indicazione su un prestampato dell' indirizzo della vecchia sede degli
uffici giudiziari penali) e' saltato l' inizio dell'udienza preliminare
a 58 presunti aderenti a un' associazione mafiosa che - secondo la Dda -
dalla Grecia avrebbe trafficato sigarette di contrabbando in Italia,
Montenegro, Spagna e Gran Bretagna. A causa del rinvio al 22 ottobre
prossimo, deciso oggi dal gup del Tribunale di Bari Daniela Rinaldi, vi
e' il rischio che molti degli imputati siano scarcerati per scadenza dei
termini: per 41 di loro furono infatti emessi provvedimenti cautelari il
19 novembre 2001, nell' ambito dell' operazione della Guardia di
Finanza di Bari chiamata 'Ellas'. Per evitare le scarcerazioni il gup ha
fissato un fitto calendario di udienze fino a ridosso della data (il 19
novembre 2002) di scadenza dei termini di carcerazione preventiva. Tra
gli imputati, Albino e Angelo Prudentino, padre e figlio di 51 e 28
anni, di Ostuni (Brindisi), ritenuti dall' accusa boss del contrabbando
internazionale di sigarette per aver trafficato tabacchi dalla Grecia.
In questi giorni dalla Grecia e' giunta alla Dda di Bari la
comunicazione che Albino Prudentino (la posizione del quale sara'
stralciata dal processo) e' detenuto in base ad un provvedimento
restrittivo emesso dal gip del Tribunale di Lecce. Secondo la Dda, i
Prudentino per trafficare i tabacchi nel Sud Italia, si sarebbero
avvalsi dell' appoggio del clan mafioso barese di Savino Parisi, del
clan di Sebastiano Nardo della Sicilia orientale, del clan Pillera di
Catania, di Cosa Nostra nella Sicilia occidentale (per questo avrebbero
avuto contatti con uomini vicini all' imprendibile boss di Cosa Nostra
Bernardo Provenzano), e del clan calabrese di Santo Carelli. I
Prudentino sono accusati di associazione mafiosa finalizzata al
contrabbando internazionale di sigarette in concorso con i presunti
dirigenti dell' organizzazione criminale: Stlylianos Kolovos, di 62
anni, di Pireo (Grecia), Costantinos Soulis, di 54, di Igoumenitsa,
Liberato Porzio, di 44, di Boscotrecase (Napoli), Orros Panajotis, di
40, e Spiros Galariotis, di 44, di Patrasso. Di concussione rispondono
invece due agenti della polizia stradale di Bari - Massimo Modeo, di 32
anni, di Bari, e Armando Carolillo, di 51, di Monopoli (Bari) -
accusati di aver costretto un 'corriere' che trasportava in Campania
sigarette di contrabbando a consegnare loro due milioni di vecchie lire
per evitare il sequestro dei tabacchi. Secondo il pm inquirente,
Giuseppe Scelsi, che ha chiesto i rinvii a giudizio, l'organizzazione
avrebbe ricavato dai traffici oltre 266 miliardi di vecchie lire in 18
mesi e avrebbe riciclato il danaro in parte in Grecia, in parte
attraverso i circuiti bancari della triangolazione Italia, Russia e
Svizzera. Nei 18 mesi delle indagini - dall' inizio del conflitto nei
Balcani ai primi mesi del 2000 - la Gdf ritiene di aver accertato che il
clan Prudentino ha movimentato oltre un milione e 100mila chilogrammi di

militari non hanno inviato alcuna informativa di reato alla
magistratura in attesa di ''raccogliere ulteriori elementi''.
Le 'bionde', dopo l' avvio dell' operazione 'Primavera',
che smantello' intere organizzazioni criminali, continuano
a giungere in Puglia, anche se in quantita' ridotte, ma non
piu' a bordo dei cosiddetti scafi 'blu', bensi' su Tir che
giungono in Italia con traghetti di linea che attraversano
la frontiera marittima di Bari, Brindisi e Ancona.
Destinazione finale, secondo gli investigatori, il ''fiorente''
mercato della Gran Bretagna. Secondo le indagini in corso,
l' attivita' dei contrabbandieri che si apprestano a operare
nel Nord dell' Albania non sarebbe solo finalizzata a
riorganizzare la flotta composta da bolidi del mare, ma
all'acquisto di capannoni da utilizzare come depositi in
cui stipare le 'bionde'. La vicenda, sulla quale non esiste
finora un'indagine penale, e' all' attenzione - a quanto si e'
potuto sapere - del sostituto procuratore della Dda di
Bari Giovanni Giorgio. Questi e' subentrato al suo collega
Giuseppe Scelsi in inchieste sui traffici illeciti di
sigarette poiche' Scelsi, il prossimo febbraio, cessera'
il suo incarico presso la distrettuale per tornare alla

CONTRABBANDO: ERRORE NOTIFICA, PERICOLO SCARCERAZIONI A BARI
(ANSA) - BARI, 3 OTT - Per un errore di notifica dell' ufficio gip (l'
indicazione su un prestampato dell' indirizzo della vecchia sede degli
uffici giudiziari penali) e' saltato l' inizio dell'udienza preliminare
a 58 presunti aderenti a un' associazione mafiosa che - secondo la Dda -
dalla Grecia avrebbe trafficato sigarette di contrabbando in Italia,
Montenegro, Spagna e Gran Bretagna. A causa del rinvio al 22 ottobre
prossimo, deciso oggi dal gup del Tribunale di Bari Daniela Rinaldi, vi
e' il rischio che molti degli imputati siano scarcerati per scadenza dei
termini: per 41 di loro furono infatti emessi provvedimenti cautelari il
19 novembre 2001, nell' ambito dell' operazione della Guardia di
Finanza di Bari chiamata 'Ellas'. Per evitare le scarcerazioni il gup ha
fissato un fitto calendario di udienze fino a ridosso della data (il 19
novembre 2002) di scadenza dei termini di carcerazione preventiva. Tra
gli imputati, Albino e Angelo Prudentino, padre e figlio di 51 e 28
anni, di Ostuni (Brindisi), ritenuti dall' accusa boss del contrabbando
internazionale di sigarette per aver trafficato tabacchi dalla Grecia.
In questi giorni dalla Grecia e' giunta alla Dda di Bari la
comunicazione che Albino Prudentino (la posizione del quale sara'
stralciata dal processo) e' detenuto in base ad un provvedimento
restrittivo emesso dal gip del Tribunale di Lecce. Secondo la Dda, i
Prudentino per trafficare i tabacchi nel Sud Italia, si sarebbero
avvalsi dell' appoggio del clan mafioso barese di Savino Parisi, del
clan di Sebastiano Nardo della Sicilia orientale, del clan Pillera di
Catania, di Cosa Nostra nella Sicilia occidentale (per questo avrebbero
avuto contatti con uomini vicini all' imprendibile boss di Cosa Nostra
Bernardo Provenzano), e del clan calabrese di Santo Carelli. I
Prudentino sono accusati di associazione mafiosa finalizzata al
contrabbando internazionale di sigarette in concorso con i presunti
dirigenti dell' organizzazione criminale: Stlylianos Kolovos, di 62
anni, di Pireo (Grecia), Costantinos Soulis, di 54, di Igoumenitsa,
Liberato Porzio, di 44, di Boscotrecase (Napoli), Orros Panajotis, di
40, e Spiros Galariotis, di 44, di Patrasso. Di concussione rispondono
invece due agenti della polizia stradale di Bari - Massimo Modeo, di 32
anni, di Bari, e Armando Carolillo, di 51, di Monopoli (Bari) -
accusati di aver costretto un 'corriere' che trasportava in Campania
sigarette di contrabbando a consegnare loro due milioni di vecchie lire
per evitare il sequestro dei tabacchi. Secondo il pm inquirente,
Giuseppe Scelsi, che ha chiesto i rinvii a giudizio, l'organizzazione
avrebbe ricavato dai traffici oltre 266 miliardi di vecchie lire in 18
mesi e avrebbe riciclato il danaro in parte in Grecia, in parte
attraverso i circuiti bancari della triangolazione Italia, Russia e
Svizzera. Nei 18 mesi delle indagini - dall' inizio del conflitto nei
Balcani ai primi mesi del 2000 - la Gdf ritiene di aver accertato che il
clan Prudentino ha movimentato oltre un milione e 100mila chilogrammi di
