Le peuple serbe reste rebelle à la normalisation impérialiste
Le sentiment anti-occidental dominant parmi les masses populaires
Les dernières élections serbes ont montré un réseau de polarisation.
D'un côté il y a les forces anti-occidentales menées par le Parti
Radical (SRS) qui reste de loin le parti le plus fort. Puis il y a
toujours le Parti Socialiste (SPS) qui pourrait un fois de plus
dépasser le seuil de 5 %. Ensemble ils représentent les classes
populaires. De l'autre côté il y a le bloc gouvernemental pro-
occidental soi-disant "Démocratique" qui a mené la contre-révolution
contre le gouvernement Milosevic dans l'intérêt de l'impérialisme. Le
résultat principal de l'élection a été qu'à l'intérieur du bloc
occidental le Parti Démocratique (DS) totalement pro-occidental a
gagné au détriment du nationaliste bourgeois Kostunica.
Les profiteurs du néo-capitalisme et du néo-colonialisme - et ceux
qui espèrent en devenir - ne veulent pas continuer le jeu double de
Kostunica entre les lignes. Ils veulent une pleine soumission à
l'Ouest afin de devenir une partie normalisée de l'Europe
impérialiste comme le reste de l'Europe de l'Est.
Le point de cristallisation de l'opposition populaire est la question
nationale du Kosovo et des territoires peuplés de Serbes dans les
autres anciennes républiques de la Yougoslavie. Mais derrière cette
insistance sur le droit à l'autodétermination se cache une opposition
contre le pillage néo-colonialiste et le capitalisme sauvage. Bien
que non clairement articulée, la souveraineté nationale est connectée
avec le désir vague d'un modèle de développement différent de celui
imposé par le capitalisme impérialiste.

Anti-Western sentiment dominant among popular masses
The last Serbian elections showed a net polarisation. On one side
there are the anti-Western forces led by the Radical Party (SRS)
which remains by far the strongest party. Then there is still the
Socialist Party (SPS) which could once again surpass the 5%
threshold. Together they represent the popular classes. On the other
had there is the pro-Western governmental so-called "Democratic" bloc
which led the counter-revolution against the Milosevic government in
the interest of imperialism. The main result of the election was that
within the Western bloc the completely pro-Western Democratic Party
(DS) gained to the detriment of the bourgeois nationalist Kostunica.
The profiteers of neo-capitalism and neo-colonialism - and those who
hope to become it - do not want to continue Kostunica's double game
between the lines. They want a full submission to the West in order
to become a normalised part of imperialist Europe like the rest of
Eastern Europe.
The point of crystallisation of the popular opposition is the
national question of Kosovo and the Serbian-populated territories in
the other former republics of Yugoslavia. But behind this insistence
on the right to self-determination is hidden an opposition against
neo-colonialist plunder and savage capitalism. While not clearly
articulated, national sovereignty is connected with the vague wish of
a development model different to the one imposed by imperialist
capitalism.
