Subject: New B92: Voice of Soros

A new radio station using the name of the former B92 radio has started
broadcasting in Beograd (Belgrade) under the name B2-92. They also have
a
new website, taking over where the much-visited Help B92 website left
off.

Like the the Help B92 website, the new website of Free B92
http://www.freeb92.net/
is owned by KPN Telecom, (a middle-rank European telecom company),
through
its
subsidiary XS4ALL Nederland BV. Koninklijke KPN NV (Royal Dutch Telecom)
is the privatised former telecom organisation of the Netherlands PTT,
originally the ministry for Post and Telegraphy.

For info on XS4ALL (a "nerds-get-rich" ISP in Amsterdam) see
XS4ALL cyber-liberals get rich
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/Paul.Treanor/geldwolf.html

Legal control of both the Help B92 website, and the Free B92 website
were,
and
are, ultimately exercised by the board of KPN Telecom. The CEO at KPN
Telecom is Wim Dik, a former Netherlands Secretary of State for Foreign
Trade.

More realistically, daily control of the content of the websites
probably
rests with Maurice Wesseling, director of XS4ALL Nederland BV, whose
name is
under the press release /e-mail announcing the new site.

As you can imagine from this information, B92 is *not* a radical
left-wing
revolutionary progressive radio station, although an extraordinary
number of
people do believe this myth. B92 was the Serbian radio of the Soros
Foundation, which through its Open Society Funds and Foundations
controls a
surprisingly large sector of the media in some eastern European
countries.
(The Soros Foundation got in first, and had the most money).

B92 was therefore never an "independent" radio. Its function was to
promote
the values of a liberal-democratic free-market society in Serbia and
Montenegro, and specifically the classic-liberalism of George Soros. It
continued to do this even during the air war on Serbia, when for a time
it
broadcast from aircraft on the Serbian border (obviously with at least
the
military approval of the NATO which controlled the airspace), and also
from Austria on Austrian government transmitters. Both of these projects
were

apparently abandoned: perhaps because they were making the station an
easy
target for pro-Milosevic propagandists. In any case, in the present
uncertain climate, the station and its financiers are ready to try
again.

For those in any doubt about the ideology of the new station, its
website
includes a speech by George Soros
http://www.freeb92.net/media/statement/soros.shtml

This is a commencement speech delivered at the Paul H. Nitze School of
Advanced International Studies at John Hopkins University on May 27,
1999:
here is the original at the university website
http://www.sais-jhu.edu/events/sorospeech.html

In this speech Soros sets out his view that a world sovereign authority
is
necessary, to authorise intervention in states. He defends the NATO
intervention in Kosovo, as you would expect...

"Nor do I have any doubts that the situation required outside
intervention.
The case for intervention is clearer in Kosovo than in most other
situations
of ethnic conflict because Milosevic unilaterally deprived the
inhabitants
of
Kosovo of the autonomy that they had already enjoyed. He also broke an
international agreement into which he entered in October of last year."

Soros goes a lot further, though, in proposing that a new alliance of
open
societies should be set up, to militarily impose an open society on the
rest of the world:

"A political alliance dedicated to the promotion of open society might
even be able to change the way the UN functions, especially if it had a
much broader membership than NATO. NATO could still serve as its
military
arm."

Remember that B2-92 operates in a society where hundreds of civilians
died
in NATO bombing a few months ago: it clearly feels that it can now go
further than during the war. At the same time, the new version is much
more explicitly a Soros/NATO radio than the pre-war version. (I would
guess that they have dumped any journalists who had doubts about the
tougher pro-NATO line, but I have no confirmation of that).

The B2-92 website (paid for by KPN Telecom) Is again showing how you can
tell
a lie, by hiding the truth. At the site

http://www.freeb92.net/index.phtml

it says "Radio B2-92 began satellite broadcasts of its news programs
within
hours of it being struck from the airwaves for the fourth time." And it
has
details of the 'B2-92 SATELLITE BROADCAST' on this transponder

HOT BIRD 5, vertical polarisation, video 11114, audio 7.74

But who is broadcasting here? Who put B2-92 back on air?

This satellite channel is the BBC World Service: see

http://www.lyngsat.com/hb5.shtml

B92 ( in the new name B2-92) is not an independent radio station, it was
(and
is) a western-financed propaganda station. It was never independent: it
was
the radio of the Soros Foundation / Open Society Institute in Serbia.

-

After the seizure of the B2-92 and Studio B stations, there have been
international protests by organisations of journalists. One is the
International Press Institute (IPI).

Here is its protest letter, from the B2-92 web site

Your Excellency,
The International Press Institute (IPI), the global network of editors

radio
station, Radio B292......

But who is the IPI? It was founded in the USA in 1950 - at the height of
Cold
War hysteria. Its general political position is resolutely pro-western.
Speakers at its Boston conference 2000 included Henry Kissinger; Emma
Bonino;
Christopher Patten and the editor of 'Foreign Affairs'.

It has already supported B92 (the original name) with an award in 1998:

Radio B-92, the principal independent radio station in Serbia, hes been
named
by the Executive Board of the International Press Institute as the Free
Media
Pioneer of 1998. The station received the award on May 27, 1998 at IPI
World

Radio banned in Belgrade goes on air in Budapest
By Michael Roddy BUDAPEST, May 31 (Reuters) - Belgrade's

Independent Radio B2-92, shut by Serb security forces in mid-May, was on
the
air again in Hungary on Wednesday night, but only to a limited audience.

At exactly 10 p.m. (2000 GMT), Budapest's alternative station Radio
Tilos
kicked off its broadcasting with a half-hour programme of news in
Serbian
piped to Hungary by satellite from B2-92, which is still off the air in
Belgrade.

The lead item was a story about the arrest at the Belgrade airport of
four
members of a security squad protecting Serbian opposition leader Vuk
Draskovic, who was flying home from Moscow.

Radio Tilos's FM band transmissions are so faint they cannot be heard
everywhere in Budapest, let alone across the border in Serbia.

But workers at the station said the half-hour of B2-92 news, which will
be
aired most nights of the week, is a gesture of solidarity for the banned
station.

``We have a relationship with B-92 (the previous name of B2-92) for five
years,'' said Zoltan Rozgonyi, director of Radio Tilos, which shares a
frequency with two other stations and begins its 12-hour broadcasting
day at
10 p.m.

``They are the same type of radio station that we are, they are a member
of
the association of community radio stations and we have a personal
relationship with them,'' Rozgonyi said, explaining why Radio Tilos was
devoting a precious half-hour to programming few Hungarians can
understand.

However, Budapest has a substantial Serbian expatriate community,
estimated
at about 50,000.

Rozgonyi said Radio Tilos received no funds from anyone to air the
broadcasts. But the decision to give airtime to B2-92 fits in with a
strategy
of the European Union and the United States to boost independent
channels of
information for Yugoslavia.

Radio B2-92's broadcasts also are being transmitted just over the border
from
Serbia in the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and the station can be received
on
the Internet and on satellite channels.

Officials close to the European-backed efforts to promote media opposing
the
government of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic say that a lot is
being
done behind the scenes.

``We don't want big publicity for the individual measures because
Milosevic
uses that in order to discriminate against precisely those media because
he
says: 'Well, you're financed by foreigners','' said one official, who
asked
to remain anonymous.

Ironically, Radio Tilos itself is in imminent danger of being forced off
the
air because it failed to win a licence for fulltime programming on its
present frequency from Hungary's media supervisor, the ORTT, which
awarded it
to someone else.

Rozgonyi said he was still hopeful of winning a licence to broadcast on
a
different frequency.

Jugoslavia sulle "differenze etniche".
(tedeschi, americani, olandesi, eccetera).

Agosto.

A ottobre '99

Date: 1° turno: 1-15 Agosto 2000; 2° turno: 16-31 Agosto 2000
N. Volontari: 4/5 + coordinatore

viaggio fino a Kraljevo (A/R): in treno circa 350.000; in aereo

campo a Kraljievo).
coordinatore rapidamente e selezionare i volontari accuratamente.

Date: 10-24 Agosto 2000
N. Volontari: 4/5 + coordinatore

imprevedibili.

Costi previsti: A carico del partecipante
iscrizione: lire 60.000 piu' tessera SCI per il 2000 (L.30.000)
viaggio fino a Belgrado (A/R): in treno circa 350.000; in aereo
(alitalia) circa 700.000 (partenze lu, ve, sab)- a carico del
partecipante.

ciao a tutti

Comunicato Stampa

CULTURA, SCIENZA e INFORMAZIONE DI FRONTE ALLE NUOVE GUERRE
22-23 giugno 2000

l'ambiente dovuti all'uso di uranio impoverito e all'inquinamento
tutte e tutti.

"To initiate a war of aggression.... is the supreme international crime,
differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself
the
accumulated evil of the whole". - From the Declaration in the Judgement
of
the International War Crimes Tribunal at Nuremberg, 1945.

"Launching a war of aggression is a crime that no political or economic
situation can justify". ".. if certain acts in violation of treaties
are
crimes, they are crimes whether the United States does them or Germany
does
them..... we are not prepared to lay down a rule of criminal conduct

others which we would not be willing to have invoked against us". -
Supreme
Court Justice Robert Jackson - Chief American Prosecutor at Nuremberg,
1945.

"..... the second purpose of the trial was to lay down the rules of
international law for the future, not only making the waging of
aggressive
war unlawful, but for the first time, making the statesmen who led their
countries into an aggressive war personally responsible for what they'd
done." - Lord Shawcross, - Senior British Prosecutor at Nuremberg War

simpatico texano".

Old articles about Kosovo

Articles written when Kosovo was not famous...

Background material about Kosovo, especially the material disseminated
by mainstream
channels, is deficient in many aspects, but perhaps the most startling
feature of many such
articles is the singular way of examining the history of the region. We
are told that Kosovo is the
cradle of Serbian nation and we learn about the battle of 1389 and then,
in most articles, with a
gigantic leap that would make envious any athlete, the article strides
600 years later, in 1989,
when the Kosovo autonomy was rescinded by Milosevic. What happened
during these 600 years,
pray tell? Or, at least, what happened during the last few years before
1989?

It is now difficult to write about the recent past of Kosovo without
taking into account the war
which is raging just now. So, it occurred to me that if I managed to
find articles written in the 80s,
when Kosovo was not famous, at least these would be free of any bias due
to the later events.

A good friend who is also a wizard in database searching undertook the
task and here is the fruit
of his labours, a bunch of older articles about Kosovo. Be warned, the
articles were not written
for posterity. These were run-of-the-mill, "boring" articles about
contemporary events. But
perhaps here lies their interest, for they present the situation without
any make-up. Anyway,
here they are...

STOP NATO: NO PASARAN! - HTTP://WWW.STOPNATO.COM

Maj. Kahrs,

You've raised the wrong matter, or can I say this - you Maj. Kahrs
raised
problem that you don't know well. And you said that - "I am not sure".
The
change of constitution of Serbia was legal 100%, because Parliament
adopted
changes. What do you want more? Is it democracy? How is it in your
country?
Do they have to ask permission from Belgium or Spanish Government to
make
changes in own Constitution? Where is evidence that was illegal act?
According to the former SFRY Constitution Kosovo and Metohia was
(socialist)
autonomy province in Socialist Republic of Serbia and part of SFRY.
Kosovo
was autonomy province not a state. But, first Kosovo and Metohia was
and
still is, autonomy province in Serbia, like it or not, part of Serbia.
That's in former and current Serbian Constitution and which is much more
important that's it in ours hearts.

Like any other "press officer" you are trying to calm down this
"exchanging of ideas". And after all, you are not my student :-) Read
very
carrefully recommended Constitutions. :-) You can find FRY and Serbia
constitutions on some web sites.

O.K. you reminded me. But, now it's my turn to remind you: Peacekeeper
is a
term for person or , organization which is in charge to keep peace,
control
peace process, improve peace. Definition is mine, not based on some
theories. So, I know UNSC resolution 1244, but KFOR did nothing to
protect
Serbs. Do you have any valid figures about killed Serbs after yours
"peacekeeping" activities? And under which curcomstances? Who shot? Why
do
you still protect some criminals like KLA leader Adnan Cheku (or Chequ)
who
made war crime acts in Krajina (Croatia) and here on Kosovo? It's 'cause
they are, like Cheku and other murderers, trained by NATO generals and
they
obeys NATO orders. So, as a press officer can you answer to this
question:
is there among Albanians any "indicted war criminal"? Another one
question:,
why Yugoslav Army and Police forces are not now on Kosovo, it was
written in
UNSCR 1244 Resolution ?
Let's see: " 4. Confirms that after the withdrawal an agreed number of
Yugoslav
and Serb military and police personnel will be
permitted
to return
to Kosovo to perform the functions in accordance
with
Annex 2; "
Let's see annex 2 : "6. After withdrawal, an agreed number of Yugoslav
and
Serbian personnel will be permitted to return to perform the following
functions:
-- Liaison with international civil mission and
international
security presence
-- Marking/clearing minefields
-- Maintaining a presence at Serb patrimonial sites
-- Maintaining a presence at key border crossings. "

Well, Maj. Kahrs? Let me remind you what else KFOR have to do according
to
UNSCR 1244 resolution, and what they didn't and they never will:

Go again: (from UNSCR 1244)

"9.b) demilitarizing of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and other armed
Kosovo Albanian groups as required in paragraph 15 below; (KFOR made
Kosovo
Protection Forces from KLA terrorists
c) establishing a secure environment in which refugees and displaced
persons
can return home in safety, the international civil presence can operate,
a
transitional administration can be established and humanitarian aid can
be
delivered; (how many Serbs, Turks, Roma return home?)
d) ensuring public safety and order until the international civil
presence
can take responsibility for this task; (Where is public safety? On
Prishtina
streets? You must be joking!)
h) ensuring the protection and freedom of movement , and for the end of
this
list
11. j) protecting and promoting human rights; (For whom? As far as I
know
KFOR protected only one Kuschner's "private Serb" - member of so called
Kuschner's Kosovo International Government. And you protected him very
well,
vith armoured cars.)

You said that Kosovo is a part of Yugoslavia. O.K. Is there in Prishtina
any Yugoslav blue-white-red flag? Or people can see only Red Albanian
flag
with two headed black eagle? If is Kosovo part of Yugoslavia put
Yugoslav
flag and prove what you wrote. And protect this blue-white-red flag as
more
as you protect peace down there.

NO PASARAN!
NEXT YEAR IN KOSOVO!

DN

Quinta parte: LA "DIASPORA" SERBA IN AGITAZIONE

===

LETTERA ALLA "DIASPORA" SERBO-AMERICANA
GLI AFFARI INTERNI DELLA SERBIA SONO... INTERNI!

To the Serbian Diaspora...
Internal Affairs of Serbia are - Internal!
by Petar Makara (05/18/2000)

[ Note from emperors-clothes: Petar Makara is one of the originators,
within
the Serbian Diaspora, of resistance to the US attack on Yugoslavia. With
Dan
Chukurov, he founded www.srpska-mreza.com, which has the best collection
of
documents about Serbian history and current events on the Internet. Mr.
Makara is a computer scientist working in NY. ]

www.tenc.net [emperors-clothes]

My intention is to defend the Serbian people, not Milosevich or any
other
single individual. The fact is that Serbian people were chosen as a
target
for the West's New World Order experiment of 'Might is Right.' The West
has
attacked the very biological existence of the Serbian people. This is
obvious
from the open genocide that the West committed on the Serbs in Croatia
(Krajina), Bosnia, Kosovo and its current efforts to make trouble in the
remaining part of Yugoslavia. The Serbian people in Serbia have to
understand
that the Western elite is not for or against the Serbs per se. The West
is
interested in only one thing: to prolong war 1) as an excuse for the
extreme
spending by the military and 2) for the conquest of the globe.

The Serbian people, left without any significant foreign defense, were a
convenient target in this laboratory where the West tests its muscle.
The
only way for the Serbs to defend their freedom is to fight for it. And
the
only question regarding the Milosevich government is: has it put up a
good
fight or not. For myself, as someone who lives in the West, I feel I
have a
right to advise my people regarding the nature of the West. On the other
hand, Milosevich and his government are an internal matter for the
Serbian
people, that is, for those who live in Serbia, to deal with. Those Serbs
who
live in the Diaspora do not know as much as the Serbs who live in the
country; they don't have the right to pretend to be smarter on this
particular issue than their relatives who live in Yugoslavia, under
whatever
conditions.

The Serbs in the Diaspora have a humongous task, to present to the
world, to
their neighbors, the truth, the facts, about the Serbian people, their
history as well as the facts about the current struggle and the
injustices
the West was and is inflicting on the Serbian people. This is a task
which is
frequently avoided by the same people who now want to preach to the
Serbs in
Serbia how to handle their internal affairs. We have to do our part,
fulfill
the duty that is naturally ours before we advise the Serbian people
about
their own tasks and ways to live. Once again, where we could profitably
advise our relatives is help them understand who their enemy is in the
West,
this enemy which is the largest problem facing Serbs as a people.

As we all know, lots of forces in Serbia are paid off by Western
institutions
in order to further instability, weaken the country so that they can
finish
up their job of genocide. We have to find strength and remind ourselves
of
the ancient advice of our forefathers, that only unity can save the
Serbs. We
have to find every possible way to unite all our different political
parties
and movements in the most important goal: the biological survival of the
Serbs. Only united, as we were at the time of NATO's air mass slaughter,
can
we once again face the awesome enemy.

Our struggle is getting harsher and more important by the day. At this
very
point, finally, Western institutions have started openly to say that
their
air assault on Yugoslavia was a military failure. What's more they have
also
admitted that the only purpose of the bombing was to terrorize
civilians.
Many allies of the United States, being European, are having second
thoughts
and have realized to some extent that the attack on Yugoslavia was an
attack
on their neighbor, an attack on Europe itself. Having in mind that a
repetition of the air assault is out of the question, the United States
is
pushing extremely hard to use alternative weapons to destabilize the
country.

The Serbs have to understand that this particular brand of fascism is
two
faced. It has adopted the brutal military approach of its German
teachers.
But it also implements a second weapon, not previously used by fascists:
money. Wherever bombs don't work they try to buy their way in, to
subjugate
and occupy those who resist.

Those in Serbia and Montenegro who accepted money from the West are by
definition collaborators with the enemy. They cannot pretend to be
leaders of
Serbian political life. They are traitors plain and simple; in any
so-called
democratic Western country they would be dealt with in much harsher
fashion
than they have been in Yugoslavia.

The peaceful anti-IMF demonstrations in democratic, free-market
Washington
were attacked harshly by special police. Even bystanders got arrested
and
brutalized in jail. How does that compare to closing the paid mouthpiece
of
the West in Serbia? How does that compare to breaking-up stone-throwing
demonstrators, in a country that is in fact besieged by the enemy? If
the
Serbian people do not like Milosevich and want to topple him, it is a
question that the Serbian people of Serbia have to deal with,
themselves.
Kissing the hands of war criminals like Albright, as appears to be a
kind of
rite required of all these so-called leaders who take US money, this
hand-kissing does not fit in with the glorious history of the Serbian
people.

The agents of the West, paid by Western money to do the job of
subjugating
and destroying the Serbian people, should be exposed by the Serbian
people
themselves. It seems to me that the Serbian people, despite everything,
still
do not sufficiently understand the evil of the Western elite and the
need to
despise this elite and their paid agents in Serbia.

Why should anyone in the Diaspora be going around, organizing
conferences in
various countries or in Washington, and so on, with the intention of
mobilizing the Serbian people against the current government? By doing
that
they have in effect betrayed their own task of defending the Serbian
people
in the West. They have left their own trenches and are intentionally or
unintentionally helping the enemies of their people. PM

This movie shows precisely how images were created to demonize the

LE RADICI NAZISTE DELLA N.A.T.O.

Premessa

problematica dell'irredentismo albanese in Kosovo e zone limitrofe, chi

http://www.wbenjamin.org/neumannproject.html ):

tanto simile a quello hitleriano.

NATO AND THE NAZI CONNECTION
from SAN FRANCISCO LIBERATION RADIO
* * *

SFLR this past week concluded a two-part discussion on the
early connections between NATO and former Nazi General Adolph
Ernst Heusinger. The discussion was led by Scott Thompson on his
program, "The Bakchos News Hour." Says Scott:

"I became extremely interested in NATO about 3 or 4 months
ago when NATO began bombing Yugoslavia...My interest in NATO led
me to look at how it began. I started reading documents on the
web. You can find all kinds of amazing things about NATO on the
Internet, including official NATO documents, all kinds of cold
war declassified CIA documents and so forth."

Scott's research also led him into the dusty, realm of
newspaper archives and out-of-print books.

"I came upon a number of fascinating books, some of which
are very unusual and rare, and you don't see any mention of them.
The most interesting of them is a book by a man by the name of
Charles R. Allen Jr., somebody you don't hear about at all any
more. The book that he wrote was published in 1963 by an unknown
press from New York. The title was "Heusinger of the Fourth
Reich: The Step by Step Resurgence of the German General Staff."

Those familiar with such books as Martin Lee's "The Beast
Reawakens" are certainly aware of the kissy-smoochey love affair
the U.S. government had with top Nazis after the war. Perhaps
most notable of these would be Hitler's chief of intelligence,
General Reinhard Gehlen, who went on to become a major player in
U.S. spy operations against the Soviet Union. Heusinger differs
from Gehlen, however, in that he didn't become merely a U.S.
government intelligence asset; Heusinger, incredibly, rose all
the way up to head the Permanent Military Committee of NATO in
Washington.

According to Scott, Heusinger plotted Hitler's military
campaigns against Poland, France, Norway and the Netherlands --
and was a chief strategist behind the Nazi invasion of the Soviet
Union. Among his duties were the overseeing of military task
forces performing what might be politely termed as "special
operations." Scott described them as "mobile killing units."

"These were the death squads that were in vans, that were
sent either ahead or behind the army and liquidated partisans,
communists, and mostly Jews," said Scott.

It has been estimated by holocaust writers that the death
squads, or einsatzgruten, under Heusinger's command killed
approximately 1.5 million people. Said Scott:

"Heusinger was never accused of this crime. He said that he
was simply following orders, he was simply working as a
professional soldier in the high command."

After the war, Heusinger, escaping trial at Nuremburg,
played a crucial role in the remilitarization of what had become
the Federal Republic of Germany, or West Germany, eventually
becoming head of the Bundeswehr. His elevation into the command
of NATO, however, did not come about without protest.

"Although he was appointed to the head of NATO, it was over
the objections of Norway, Denmark, Italy, and Greece," said
Scott. "And obviously the Soviet Union was very worried about him
and wanted him actually to be extradicted to the Soviet Union to
stand as a war criminal."

Much of Scott's information about Heusinger was gleaned from
the book "Heusinger of the Fourth Reich."

"The guy, Charles Allen, that wrote it had been a fairly
distinguished writer at the time. More of a journalist, he had
been an editor of the NATION MAGAZINE and of CHRISTIAN CENTURY.
He had written for the ATLANTIC MONTHLY, THE NEW STATESMAN,
FIGARO, LE MONDE, PUNCH, COLLIERS -- all the leading newspapers
and magazines of his day. He was writing because he was worried
that we had at that time -- 1963 -- an ex-German General, a Nazi,
under Hitler, as the head, the chairman, of the Permanent
Military Committee of NATO."

Heusinger died in 1982. Scott commented: "People think (NATO
General) Wesley Clark is bad; he (Clark) is nothing compared to
this guy (Heusinger)."

What else is new?

The Nazi Wehrmacht Moves Into NATO

Introduction by Brigadier General Hugh B. Hester, US Army (Ret.),
Berkeley,
California, September, 1963 of "Heusinger of the Fourth Reich:"

In early September, 1945, I flew into occupied Berlin to assume my new
command as director of he Food and Agricultural program for the United
States
Zone, and to serve as U.S. Quadripartite Representatives on these
matters. I
came from Manila, where I had been on the staff of General MacArthur.

Most of the Section Chiefs of the U.S. Military Government insisted in
their
reports, which weekly crossed my desk, that efficiency required the
services
of key Nazis…A speech by Herbert Hoover to a small group of Germans whom
I
had assembled at Stuttgart in January 1947 was also significant: he told
them
that the U.S. expected their support in the coming struggle with "the
atheistic barbarians of the East."

The San Francisco Chronicle of August 4, 1963 quoted [Secretary of
State,
John Foster Dulles] as having told group of Yale and Smith graduates:
"I
believe the single most important country in Europe is Germany, and we
shall
treat her like a 51st state. We should consult her on every move we
make."

"Heusinger of the Fourth Reich," by Charles R. Allen, Jr. , 1963:

The hall…of the new State Department Building in Washington, D.C….was
filled
with the highest ranking military representatives from the fifteen
nations
belonging to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. On the stage sat
the
ranking officials of the NATO military alliance, backed by a panoply of
flags
and honor guards of the member states. As soon as President Kennedy
entered,
the entire room filled with applause for the Chief of State of the most
powerful member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The President
then
formally opened the first 1961 meeting of the Permanent Military
Committee of
NATO at which its new chairman would be installed. The New York Times
writer…described the Permanent Military Committee as "the highest
military
authority of NATO." "I would like now to turn the rest of the meeting
over
to your new chairman," the President of the United States said, "and I
would
especially like to welcome him here to the United States,…"

He was General Adolph Ernst Heusinger, the Inspector General of the West
German Bundeswehr. Formerly Genralleutnant of the Nazi Wehrmacht, chief
of
operation and planning of the O.K.H. (Oberkommando des Heeres – all the
land
forces of Hitler’s armies) and the personal appointee of Adolph Hitler
as the
last Deputy Chief of the German General Staff during World War II. As of
April 1, 1961, he was the Chairman of the Permanent Military Committee
of the
North Atlantic Treaty Organization with offices in Paris and
headquarters in
Washington, D.C. His suite of offices in the Pentagon was numbered 3-E
180
and was on the same tier as the highest ranking military chiefs of the
United
States." The New York Times [December 13, 1961]… noted that he was in
almost
daily contact with Hitler from the start of World War II; that he "did
his
job well…and carried out the orders of ‘the boss’ (Hitler)" to the very
end.

Senator [Wayne] Morse [Democrat of Oregon, April 16, 1961]…announced
that as
a senior member of the powerful Senate Committee on Foreign Relations he
intend(ed) "to follow with exceeding care the policies of my government
in
respect to the position it has taken in connection with elevating Nazi
generals to positions of power in NATO." "I’m concerned," he said,
"about
the direction in which NATO is going."

"The ‘New Look’ of the next German Army will be strictly
non-Prussian…middle
class, minus Junkers, minus martinets…Its brains and boss will be Adolph
Heusinger…a modern and very American type…far too informal to be
mistaken for
a member of the German general Staff." – C.L. Sulzberger, The New York
Times,
December 18, 1954.

"’General Heusinger’s career must be seen a typified at best by a brutal
and
opportunistic immorality." –American Jewish Congress, 1961’"

April 6, the 58th Anniversary of the Nazi Carpetbombing of Belgrade

Wall Street Journal, "How NATO Decided to End Its ‘Gentlemanly’ War," by
Journal Staff Reporters, April 27, 1999, p.A6.

"Consider…what happened when Gen., Clark asked permission last month to
bomb
the Serb security forces in downtown Belgrade. Germany’s NATO delegation
agreed – as long as the missiles weren’t launched on April 6, the 58th
anniversary of the Nazi carpetbombing of Belgrade. The two ministry
buildings
were hit instead on April 3.
"…Poland…invited NATO military leader Gen. Klaus Naumann -- Germany’s
Gen.
Naumann, the top military adviser to NATO’s political leaders -- to give
advice."

Cari compagni,

in

delle
immagini truccate per manipolare l'opinione.

5 "I Serbi praticano la pulizia etnica."

Falso!
Solamente
degli scontri tra i due eserciti."

Durante la guerra

6 "I nostri bombardamenti risparmiano i civili."

Falso!

Ginevra: 1. Bombe a frammentazione lanciate in particolare sul mercato e
sull'ospedale di Nis, uccidendo o mutilando numerosi civili. 2. Bombe
ospedali). 3.
Armi a uranio impoverito provocanti cancri e mutazioni genetiche, ivi

In realtà,
questi

treno, però, sarebbe dovuto andare a 300 km/h.
rispetta
i civili.

militare permanente, chiamata Campo Bondsteel. Questo era il loro scopo
sin
essi vogliono controllare. Strategia a lungo termine: accerchiare ed
indebolire la Russia. Ecco perché Washington arma in segreto le milizie
islamiche cecene.

13 "La NATO persegue delle finalità umanitarie."

Falso!

Serbi
sono stati cacciati. Infine, disarmando i soli Serbi, voi li lasciate
giorno.

Britain trains new elite for post-Milosevic era

By Adam LeBor in Budapest

3 May 2000

British diplomats are training a Yugoslav élite-in-waiting to
oversee the country's transformation to a civil society after the
Milosevic regime falls.

Senior Serbian figures in professional fields such as the
military, law enforcement and academia are being brought to
Budapest in neighbouring Hungary to design a blueprint for
post-Milosevic Serbia, and prepare for the country's
re-integration into Europe.

The New Serbia Forum, an initiative funded by the Foreign
Office, focuses on key issues to shape the future Yugoslavia
such as instituting civilian control of the military, punishment
for those who committed atrocities under President Slobodan
Milosevic and reconstruct- ing a stable economy.

Many of the Serb participants held senior posts in Yugoslavia
before the country began to implode in the 1991 Croatian war
of independence. Their refusal to participate in Mr Milosevic's
nationalist drive forced them out of their jobs.

British officials want to prevent a repeat of the post-1989
transitions from Communist dictatorship of eastern Eur-ope's
new democracies.

Sir John Birch, former British ambassador to Hungary, said: "In
1989 there was no action plan for a new democratic
government and a lot of time was wasted arguing over
inconsequential questions such as flags and anthems,
instead of coping with the budget deficit or thinking about how
to deal with people from the old regime.

"We are not a subversive organisation, talking about how to get
rid of the Milosevic regime. We are looking at Serb solutions to
Serb problems, with outside assistance, about what Serbia
needs to reintegrate."

Forum participants, including Dr Miroslav Hadzic, a former
colonel in the Yugoslav army, said they wanted to learn from
other ex-communist nations. "It is very important for us to be in
touch with modern democratic experts which have experience
of issues such as civilian control of the army, in transition
countries such as Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovenia,"
said Dr Hadzic, now a research fellow at a Belgrade institute.

The Western policy of isolation and sanctions had supported
Mr Milosevic, by strengthening his position, said Dr Hadzic.
"The Serbian people have no hope and without hope you
cannot do anything. All sanctions should be lifted now and
Yugoslavia should be admitted to all international
organisations.

"The Serbs are paying the price of 10 years of a bad choice,
and it is a high price."

Budapest, capital of Hungary, which borders three states of the
former Yugoslavia - Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia - has long
been a key meeting place for nationals of the south Slavic
nations, now divided into independent states.

Bosko Colak-Antic, a former journalist with Tanjug, the
Yugoslav state news agency, said: "We do not have free and
open expression, to meet experts and clarify our attitudes and
opinions. This [forum] brings together the élite of people who
can express their opinions about what should happen after the
fall of Milosevic."

Attending the forum is not without risks. Participants are often
called in by the police on their return home and questioned.
One Serb delegate said Belgrade officers asked him who he
met, and what the forum was about, then verbally abused him.

The role of the army and the police in the transition to a
post-Milosevic era is a key question. Analysts are not certain
the army will support Mr Milosevic; nor can he rely on police.

But many analysts expect the end of the Milosevic regime to be
protracted and bloody. Internationally isolated, its domestic
support crumbling, riven by factions and threatened by armed
organised crime gangs it unleashed during the Bosnian war,
the regime is likely to end not with a whimper, but with a Serb
Götterdämmerung.

One delegate said: "There is too much at stake for government
circles and they have no way out. They will fight until the last
drop of our blood."

British deal fuelled Balkan war

British deal fuelled Balkan war

Military sale to Slovenia flouted Tory foreign policy

Kosovo: special report

Blaz Zgaga and Antony Barnett

Sunday May 28, 2000

Britain flouted its own foreign policy by approving the sale of millions
of pounds worth of military equipment to a
former Yugoslav republic only days before the outbreak of the bloody
Balkans war, The Observer has established.

Eight days before Slovenia became the first area to break from the
unified Yugoslavia in 1991, a British firm delivered
communications equipment to the Slovenian forces to help them fight the
Serb-led Yugoslav army.

The revelation that this deal was approved by the Conservative
Government will embarrass former Foreign Secretary
Douglas Hurd, who was the principal architect of the West's policy of
supporting a unified Yugoslavia. He had warned
the republics to stay in the federation.

Until now, Germany has shouldered the blame for the Balkan tragedy by
prematurely recognising the breakaway
republics of Slovenia and Croatia. Britain's help to Slovenia casts a
new light on events.

Labour MP Ann Clwyd, who sits on the House of Commons International
Development Select Committee, said: 'These
revelations show once again that the export of military equipment from
Britain needs to be much more rigorously
scrutinised.'

After Slovenia declared independence, the Yugoslav army began its
military offensive against the 'rebel' republic. The
ensuing 10-day war signalled the start of the conflicts that ultimately
killed hundreds of thousands.

Three months after Britain exported military equipment to Slovenia the
United Nations imposed an arms embargo on the
region.

The Observer has obtained details of the multi-million-pound contract
between the Slovenian Defence Ministry and
Racal, the British defence and communications group. A fax dated 29 May,
1991, from one of Racal's military
subsidiaries, Racal Tacticom, to the Slovenian Defence Ministry lists
four batches of tactical military communication
equipment worth £5 million.

Racal's communications network played a vital role in helping Slovenia
beat the Serb-led Yugoslav forces. The
equipment arrived on 17 June, eight days before the war of independence
began.

Janez Jansa, then Slovenian Defence Minister, praises Britain for its
role in his memoirs. He writes: 'The government of
one of the more decent Western states has, on our request, officially
approved the export of mili tary radio stations with
secure data transmission to Slovenia.'

One senior source at Racal Defence Electronics confirmed that it had
delivered the equipment after it received an export
licence from the Department of Trade and Industry. He said the contract
was with the 'regional government' of Slovenia,
and the export was for 'the purpose of national defence'.

Misha Glenny, a Balkans expert, said: 'If the British Government was
fully aware of this, it would imply that the
Government was covertly operating in contradiction of its stated policy
and aims. It would also shift some of the
responsibility carried by Germany.'

The former Slovenian Defence Minister's book also claims that the
British Embassy in Belgrade learnt that the Yugoslav
air force was planning to shoot down a Slovenian aircraft due to carry
the equipment to its new owner. According to
Jansa, the British tipped off the Slovenians, who decided to send the
cargo by road. Government sources in Slovenia
confirm that the aircraft that was to have delivered the shipment was a
passenger plane owned by Adria Airways, the
national airline. The jet was to have flown from Gatwick to the capital
Ljubljana, in central Slovenia.

Suggestions that the British Embassy in Belgrade knew of the military
shipment and warned the Slovenians are strongly
denied by Sir Peter Hall, who was ambassador in Belgrade. He said:
'These allegations of British Embassy involvement
are without foundation... I had no, absolutely no, knowledge of any
military equipment being sent from Britain to
Slovenia. Indeed, given the great tension in the region at the time I
would be surprised that any such equipment would
have been sent at all.'

The Observer contacted Lord Hurd and Peter Lilley, who was then Trade
Secretary, with details of the arms shipment.
Both declined to respond. A spokesman for the Blair Government refused
to comment, saying it needed permission from
Racal to give details of any export licence.

Lord Owen, the EU peace negotiator in Bosnia, said: 'I am surprised that
such sales took place, particularly as the British
Government, the US and Nato's view was to keep the Federation of
Yugoslavia together. But this equipment was not
aggressive - it was radios not guns. I think it sails close to the
border but does not cross it.'

Blaz Zgaga works for the Slovenian daily 'Vecer'.

A united Yugoslavia would never have joined NATO and would never have
aligned itself with the
west against Russia. It was essential to the interests of the western
European countries -
Britain, Germany, France, Italy, et al - that Yugoslavia be dismembered.

After Slovenia declared independence, the Yugoslav army began its
military offensive against the
'rebel' republic.

Er...not quite. The Yugoslav army, already stationed on its own soil in
Slovenia, simply moved to
take control of Slovene border posts. It was a clumsy, chaotic affair in
which a lot of people died
needlessly.
