Dopo il colpo di Stato dell'ottobre 2000, al potere in Serbia è
assurta una classe dirigente che, oltre a praticare politiche
reazionarie socialmente devastanti, è tra le più corrotte ed
impresentabili del globo. I parlamentari serbi, che già godono di
salari e compensi favolosi, si accingono adesso a diminuire a 55 anni
la propria età pensionabile, sottolineando così la propria
condizione di élite super-privilegiata in una società che hanno
ridotto al collasso. La SKOJ - organizzazione giovanile del Nuovo
Partito Comunista di Jugoslavia - stigmatizza duramente tutto ciò in
questo suo comunicato.

STOP PRIVILEGIJAMA!
Predlog da poslanici narodne skupštine posle dva mandata ako imaju
navršenih 55 godina života ili 35 godina radnog staža penzionišu
je izraz najgoreg licemerja i ruganja nad sudbinom miliona siromašnih
i nezaposlenih građana ove zemlje. Ovo je još jedan pokušaj
sticanja novih privilegija u zemlji u kojoj ogromna većina
stanovništva živi na ivici bede, a država iz dana u dan sve dublje
tone u dužničku krizu.
Ovakav predlog u trenutku kada 35% radno sposobnog stanovništva ne
radi, kada skoro polovinu nezaposlenih čine mladi, kada je milion
ljudi, mahom mladih i visoko obrazovanih napustilo zemlju, potpuno je
neopravdano, licemerno i neodgovorno. Danas preko 60 posto penzionera
prima penzije koje su manje od prosečne, a oni koji imaju sreću da
rade mogu se penzionisati pod veoma teškim uslovima koji se stalno
pogoršavaju.
Umesto da budu u službi naroda naši poslanici se stavljaju iznad
interesa sopstvenog naroda, kome su u predizbornim kampanjama nudili
„obećanu zemlju“, ne želeći da dele sudbinu svog naroda koga su
doveli do prosjačkog štapa. Srpski buržoaski parlament u ovom
trenutku jedino se bori kako da obezbedi što veće privilegije za
svoje poslanike i da produži egzistenciju vlade koja je izgubila
podršku građana.
Srpski parlament je verovatno jedan od najskupljih u Evropi a naši
poslanici najprivilegovaniji. Dok se u Srbiji broj narodnih kuhinja
za siromašne smanjuje iz dana u dan naši poslanici se hrane u
skupštinskim restoranima po izuzetno niskim cenama, primaju ogromne
novčane nadoknade i platu koja je veća od proseka. Gotovo svi
poslanici su finansijski i stambeno obezbeđeni i pokušaji sticanja
novih privilegija je najgnusniji zločin prema građanima ove zemlje
koji svakoga dana vode ogorčenu borbu za golu egzistenciju.
Srpski buržoaski parlament je najveća katastrofa koja nas je
zadesila. Naša zemlja lakše i brže se oporavila od posledica
razaranja Drugog svetskog rata nego što se može oporaviti od
vladavine parlamenta koja nas vodi u propast, stvarajući od naše
zemlje evropsku Argentinu.
Pred svima nama stoji borba za rušenje poretka koji nam je nametnut,
koji nas ponižava i pljačka. Pred nama je borba za parlament koji
će biti iz naroda i za narod, kome će ostvarenje interesa ogromne
većine biti najsvetiji zadatak i cilj.

STOP THE PRIVILEGES!
The proposal that members of National Assembly be pensioned off after
two mandates in the parliament at age 55 or 35 years of work service,
is the worst form of hypocrisy and ridicule over the fate of millions
of poor and unemployed citizens of this country. This is but another
attempt to acquire privileges in a country where the overwhelming
majority of citizens lives on the margins of poverty and the nation
from day to day sinks into crisis of debt.
This sort of proposal, at the time when 35% of able bodied population
is unemployed, when almost half the unemployed are youth and when a
million, mostly young and highly educated people have left the
country, is totally unjustified, hypocritical and irresponsible.
Today, over 60% of retirees receives pensions lower than the average
and those fortunate enough to be working, can go into retirement
under extremely difficult and worsening conditions.
Instead of being of service to the people, our deputies are placing
themselves above the interests of their own people to whom they were
offering the "promised land" in their election campaigns and now do
not want to share the fate of the people whom they have turned into
beggars. The Serbian bourgeois parliament is currently only fighting
to secure ever more privileges for its deputies and prolong the
existence of a government which has lost the support of its citizenry.
The Serbian Parliament is probably the most expensive one in Europe
and our deputies the most privileged. While numbers of soup kitchens
for the poor in Serbia diminishes by the day, our deputies are dining
in parliamentary restaurants at exceptionally low prices, receive
enormous financial compensations and above average salaries.
Practically all deputies are financially secure with residences and
attempts to acquire new privileges are the most gruesome crime
against the citizens of this country who are waging a bitter daily
struggle for bare existence.
The Serbian bourgeois parliament is the greatest catastrophe which
has come upon us. Our country has recovered from the devastation of
the Second World War faster and better than it could from the rule of
a disaster bound parliament, creating a European Argentina out of
this country.
Before all of us is the battle to demolish the regime imposed on us,
which insults and plunders us. Before us is the struggle for the
parliament of the people and for the people, to which the realization
of interests of the overwhelming majority is the most sacred task and
goal.
