We have been notified (***) that the DOMEUS mailing-list service, and thus also our online JUGOINFO archive hosted by that server
will end their existence at the end of this month.
We are only relatively concerned with this, since our JUGOINFO newsletter is active and being archived via two more parallel channels on the YAHOOGROUPS server
The effects of DOMEUS ceasing are the following:
– several messages, which because of their lenght are shown as truncated on the YAHOOGROUPS server, but were fully readable on DOMEUS, won't be entirely accessible any more (**)
– however, the loss of every single archived copy is a negative matter of fact anyway, especially because in case YAHOOGROUPS is switched off, too, sometimes in the future (which may happen sooner or later... everything steadily changes in internet!), we would remain with *no* archives.
A precaution, which does not solve the problem of accessing the oldest messages however, would be to start another distribution/archiving channel, e.g. via the GOOGLEGROUPS service. Let's think about it.
Just for information: the JUGOINFO messages which are at present archived online amount up to 8329... plus the oldest messages (before year 2000), which are not accessible online. It deals with about 18 years of counter-information activity, carried out on a daily basis, which is something unparalleled in the world of political and social activism in Italy... and perhaps abroad, too.

E' giunta comunicazione (vedi sotto, in tedesco ***) che il servizio di mailing-list DOMEUS e dunque anche il nostro archivio JUGOINFO ospitato su quel server da ottobre 2001
saranno *soppressi* a contare dalla fine di questo mese.
La notizia ci preoccupa solo relativamente, poiché la nostra mailing-list JUGOINFO è attiva e archiviata anche su altri due canali paralleli sul server YAHOOGROUPS
Gli effetti della soppressione di DOMEUS saranno i seguenti:
– molti messaggi che sul server YAHOOGROUPS appaiono troncati a causa della loro lunghezza, e che erano invece integralmente leggibili su DOMEUS, non saranno più reperibili online integralmente (**)
– ogni copia archiviata in meno è comunque un fatto negativo, soprattutto perché nel momento in cui dovessero spegnere anche YAHOOGROUPS (prima o poi succede... in internet tutto cambia in continuazione!) resteremmo senza archivio.
Una precauzione, che non risolve il problema della reperibilità dei messaggi più vecchi, sarebbe quella di aprire un ulteriore canale, ad esempio su GOOGLEGROUPS. Pensiamoci su.
Per la cronaca: i messaggi della newsletter JUGOINFO attualmente salvati sui nostri archivi online sono 8325... ai quali si aggiungono i messaggi più vecchi, non salvati. Si tratta di 18 anni di lavoro di controinformazione quotidiana, un lavoro che non ha eguali nel panorama dell'attivismo politico e sociale in Italia... e forse neanche all'estero.

(*) I messaggi ancora più vecchi sono salvati sui miei hard-disc; molti sono stati recuperati con l'aiuto prezioso di Carlo Pona un paio di anni fa; avevo in mente di ripristinarne l'archivio 1997-2000 più o meno completo e metterlo online sul nostro sito, ma chissà quando (e se) ne avrò il tempo.

| Teradata bietet ab 30.6.2015 den bisherigen Mailingdienst von Domeus nicht mehr an und hostet daher auch ihre Datenbestände nicht mehr. Sie müssen sich dafür leider einen neuen Mailing-Dienstleister suchen. Hinweis: Nachdem Domeus seinen Service beendet hat, wird ihr Account gelöscht und Mailings werden nicht mehr möglich sein!
