Kusturica, il celebre cineasta nato a Sarajevo, con il suo gruppo
rock. Il suo film La vie est un miracle (La vita è un miracolo)
ridicolizza i media occidentali sulla Bosnia. Ma nelle sue interviste,
ha fatto ben comprendere che gli era impossibile dire la verità.

Scharping, ministro tedesco della Guerra, 1999 "(Noi temevamo) un
cedimento del sostegno dei media, foriero di un ritorno dell'opinione
pubblica favorevole all'arresto della campagna di bombardamenti della
NATO e alla ripresa dei negoziati. Une catastrofe che il mio collega
Joshka Fischer voleva ad ogni costo evitare."
É il momento di annunciare una notizia sensazionale : il ministro
Scharping, dopo qualche giorno, disponeva della prova scritta che
Milosevic aveva programmato per la primavera un crimine contro
l'umanità in Kosovo di grandi dimensioni, giustificando a posteriori
l'intervento preventivo della Bundeswehr (l'Esercito Tedesco). «
Finalmente, abbiamo la prova che dal dicembre 1998 era stata
programmata una pulizia etnica sistematica e l'espulsione dei Kosovari
albanesi, una prova dettagliata e che specifica tutte le unità
jugoslave che vi dovevano partecipare. L'analisi mette in rilievo una
immagine raccapricciante chiarissima. Ho deciso che questo piano
"Ferro di Cavallo" sia reso di pubblico dominio.».
Due anni più tardi, l'8 febbraio 2001, la catena ARD diffonderà un
documentario esclusivo: « All'inizio fu la menzogna ». Quella sera, un
milione di telespettatori tedeschi sbalorditi, appresero quello che un
piccolo numero di persone ben informate già sapevano : non era mai
esistito un piano serbo "Ferro di Cavallo" e che i massacri erano
stati inventati di sana pianta. I telespettatori intesero inoltre l'ex
portavoce della NATO durante la guerra, il britannico Jamie Shea,
indirizzare un vibrante (ma fortemente compromettente) omaggio
all'eminente contributo dei dirigenti tedeschi: « Non solamente il
ministro Scharping, ma anche il cancelliere Schröder e il ministro
Fischer sono stati un esempio grandioso di leaders politici che non si
allineano sull'opinione pubblica, ma hanno la capacità di
condizionarla. Malgrado gli incresciosi danni collaterali e nonostante
la durata dei bombardamenti, loro hanno saputo mantenere la bussola.
Se noi avessimo perduto il sostegno dell'opinione pubblica tedesca,
avremmo perso anche quello dei paesi alleati.»

Ecco qualche esempio, fra i tanti altri, di mediamenzogne! Certamente
sono stati commessi crimini da entrambe le parti in questa guerra. Ci
sono cose da rimproverare a Milosevic. Ma, nello stesso tempo, le cose
importanti non sono certamente quelle raccontate dai media.
Soprattutto importante è tutto ciò che non dicono.
Se voi ritenete che i mezzi di comunicazione di massa vi abbiano
indotto qualche volta in errore sull'Iraq, su Israele, sul Vietnam e
su qualche altro conflitto, ma che per la Jugoslavia abbiano fatto
un'eccezione, e che in questo caso vi sia stato detto tutto senza
alcuna manipolazione, allora non cercate più, e dormiteci sopra!
Al contrario, se voi avete riscontrato che qualsiasi conflitto delle
grandi potenze è sempre stato accompagnato da propaganda di guerra e
da disinformazione, allora cercate di conoscere quello che vi è stato
nascosto, Provate a farvi una vostra opinione senza tabù.

OPERATION HORSE SHOE :
Scharping, German Defense Minister, 1999 "(We fear that) a slackening
of support by the media, warnings of a reversal of public opinion in
favor of a halt to Nato's bombing campaign and a return to
negotiations. It is a catastrophe that my colleague Joshka Fischer
would like to avoid at all cost."
It was time to announce a new sensational news story : for several
days they had been preparing written proof that Milosevic had planned
for the spring a vast crime against humanity in Kosovo, providing a
posteriori justification for preventive intervention by the
Bundeswehr. «We finally have the proof that plans for the systematic
expulsion and ethnic cleansing of Kosovo Albanians have been in place
since December 1998, detailed proof that names all the Yugoslav units
that were going to participate in it. The analysis provides a clear
image of what was going to happen. I decided that Operation Horseshoe
should be made public».
Two years later, on February 8, 2001, the ARD network broadcast an
exclusive documentary : « In the Beginning Was the Lie ». That night,
one million German television viewers were stupefied to learn that
what a few well informed people had known all along : the Serbs never
had a plan called Operation Horse Shoe, and that the massacres had
been completely fabricated. They also heard the former NATO spokesman
during the Kosovo War, the Briton Jamie Shea, address a stirring (but
heavily compromising) homage for the eminent contribution made by
German leaders : « Not only Minister Scharping, but also Chancellor
Schröder and Minister Fischer were a grandiose example of political
leaders who did not align themselves with public opinion but who know
how to shape it. Despite the troublesome collateral damage and despite
the length of the bombardments, they knew how to stay the course. If
we had lost the support of German public opinion, we also would have
lost that of our partners. ».

Here are just a few of many examples of media lies.
Crimes had been committed by all three sides during the civil war.
Milosevic can be reproached for certain things. But the important
thing here is not what the media says. It's what the media doesn't say.
If you think that the media brought manipulated reports on Iraq,
Israel, Vietnam, and several other wars, but that Yugoslavia was an
exception, and that in this case they told you the truth without any
manipulation, then don't bother looking any further, and sleep well !
On the other hand, if you have noticed that each war waged by the
Great Powers has always been accompanied by war propaganda and
disinformation, then, find out what they have been hiding from you.
Try to formulate your own opinion, without taboos.
Of course, do not believe us just like that. Why not ask to your
favorite journalist if he knows about this, and if he will inform his
audience ?

7. PLAN FER A CHEVAL :

fléchissement du soutien des médias, annonciateur d'un retournement de
l'opinion en faveur d'un arrêt de la campagne de bombardements de
l'OTAN et de la reprise des négociations. Une catastrophe que mon
collègue Joshka Fischer voulait à tout prix éviter."
C'est le moment d'annoncer une nouvelle sensationnelle : il disposait
depuis quelques jours de la preuve écrite que Milosevic avait
programmé pour le printemps un crime contre l'humanité de grande
ampleur au Kosovo, justifiant a posteriori l'engagement préventif de
la Bundeswehr. « Nous avons enfin la preuve que dès décembre 1998 un
nettoyage systématique et l'expulsion des Kosovars albanais avaient
été planifiées, une preuve en détail et qui nomme toutes les unités
yougoslaves qui y participent. L'analyse fait apparaître une image
effroyablement claire. J'ai décidé que le plan Fer à cheval soit rendu
public demain ».
Deux ans plus tard, le 8 février 2001, la chaine ARD diffusera un
documentaire exclusif : « Au commencement fut le mensonge ». Ce soir
là, un million de téléspectateurs allemands médusés, apprirent ce
qu'un petit nombre de personnes bien informées savaient déjà : il n'y
avait jamais eu de plan Fer à cheval serbe, et des massacres avaient
été inventés de toute pièce. Ils entendirent également l'ancien
porte-parole de l'OTAN durant la guerre, le britannique Jamie Shea,
adresser un vibrant (mais fort compromettant) hommage à l'éminente
contribution des dirigeants allemands : « Non seulement le ministre
Scharping, mais aussi le chancelier Schröder et le ministre Fischer
furent un exemple grandiose de leaders politiques qui ne s'alignent
pas sur l'opinion publique mais savent la modeler. En dépit de fâcheux
dommages collatéraux et malgré la durée des bombardements, ils ont su
maintenir le cap. Si nous avions perdu le soutien de l'opinion

Voilà quelques exemples de médiamensonges parmi bien d'autres.
Des crimes ont certes été commis de tous côtés dans cette guerre. Il y
a des reproches à formuler à Milosevic. Mais l'important, ici encore,
n'est pas ce que les médias disent. C'est surtout ce qu'ils ne disent pas.
Si vous pensez que les médias vous ont parfois induit en erreur sur
l'Irak, Israël, le Vietnam, et quelques autres guerres, mais que la
Yougoslavie fut une exception, et que là, on vous a tout dit sans
manipulation, alors ne cherchez plus, et dormez bien !
Par contre, si vous avez remarqué que toute guerre des grandes
puissances a toujours été accompagnée d'une propagande de guerre et
d'une désinformation, alors, recherchez ce qu'on vous a caché. Essayez
de vous faire votre propre opinion, sans tabous.
Et, bien sûr, ne nous croyez pas sur parole. Pourquoi ne pas demander
à votre journaliste habituel s'il est au courant de tout ceci, et s'il
compte en informer son public ?

Finalmente, abbiamo la prova che dal dicembre 1998 era stata
programmata una pulizia etnica sistematica e l'espulsione dei Kosovari
albanesi, una prova dettagliata e che specifica tutte le unità
jugoslave che vi dovevano partecipare. L'analisi mette in rilievo una
immagine raccapricciante chiarissima. Ho deciso che questo piano
"Ferro di Cavallo" sia reso di pubblico dominio.».
Due anni più tardi, l'8 febbraio 2001, la catena ARD diffonderà un
documentario esclusivo: « All'inizio fu la menzogna ». Quella sera, un
milione di telespettatori tedeschi sbalorditi, appresero quello che un
piccolo numero di persone ben informate già sapevano : non era mai
esistito un piano serbo "Ferro di Cavallo" e che i massacri erano
stati inventati di sana pianta. I telespettatori intesero inoltre l'ex
portavoce della NATO durante la guerra, il britannico Jamie Shea,
indirizzare un vibrante (ma fortemente compromettente) omaggio
all'eminente contributo dei dirigenti tedeschi: « Non solamente il
ministro Scharping, ma anche il cancelliere Schröder e il ministro
Fischer sono stati un esempio grandioso di leaders politici che non si
allineano sull'opinione pubblica, ma hanno la capacità di
condizionarla. Malgrado gli incresciosi danni collaterali e nonostante
la durata dei bombardamenti, loro hanno saputo mantenere la bussola.
Se noi avessimo perduto il sostegno dell'opinione pubblica tedesca,
avremmo perso anche quello dei paesi alleati.»

Ecco qualche esempio, fra i tanti altri, di mediamenzogne! Certamente
sono stati commessi crimini da entrambe le parti in questa guerra. Ci
sono cose da rimproverare a Milosevic. Ma, nello stesso tempo, le cose
importanti non sono certamente quelle raccontate dai media.
Soprattutto importante è tutto ciò che non dicono.
Se voi ritenete che i mezzi di comunicazione di massa vi abbiano
indotto qualche volta in errore sull'Iraq, su Israele, sul Vietnam e
su qualche altro conflitto, ma che per la Jugoslavia abbiano fatto
un'eccezione, e che in questo caso vi sia stato detto tutto senza
alcuna manipolazione, allora non cercate più, e dormiteci sopra!
Al contrario, se voi avete riscontrato che qualsiasi conflitto delle
grandi potenze è sempre stato accompagnato da propaganda di guerra e
da disinformazione, allora cercate di conoscere quello che vi è stato
nascosto, Provate a farvi una vostra opinione senza tabù.

OPERATION HORSE SHOE :
Scharping, German Defense Minister, 1999 "(We fear that) a slackening
of support by the media, warnings of a reversal of public opinion in
favor of a halt to Nato's bombing campaign and a return to
negotiations. It is a catastrophe that my colleague Joshka Fischer
would like to avoid at all cost."
It was time to announce a new sensational news story : for several
days they had been preparing written proof that Milosevic had planned
for the spring a vast crime against humanity in Kosovo, providing a
posteriori justification for preventive intervention by the
Bundeswehr. «We finally have the proof that plans for the systematic
expulsion and ethnic cleansing of Kosovo Albanians have been in place
since December 1998, detailed proof that names all the Yugoslav units
that were going to participate in it. The analysis provides a clear
image of what was going to happen. I decided that Operation Horseshoe
should be made public».
Two years later, on February 8, 2001, the ARD network broadcast an
exclusive documentary : « In the Beginning Was the Lie ». That night,
one million German television viewers were stupefied to learn that
what a few well informed people had known all along : the Serbs never
had a plan called Operation Horse Shoe, and that the massacres had
been completely fabricated. They also heard the former NATO spokesman
during the Kosovo War, the Briton Jamie Shea, address a stirring (but
heavily compromising) homage for the eminent contribution made by
German leaders : « Not only Minister Scharping, but also Chancellor
Schröder and Minister Fischer were a grandiose example of political
leaders who did not align themselves with public opinion but who know
how to shape it. Despite the troublesome collateral damage and despite
the length of the bombardments, they knew how to stay the course. If
we had lost the support of German public opinion, we also would have
lost that of our partners. ».

Here are just a few of many examples of media lies.
Crimes had been committed by all three sides during the civil war.
Milosevic can be reproached for certain things. But the important
thing here is not what the media says. It's what the media doesn't say.
If you think that the media brought manipulated reports on Iraq,
Israel, Vietnam, and several other wars, but that Yugoslavia was an
exception, and that in this case they told you the truth without any
manipulation, then don't bother looking any further, and sleep well !
On the other hand, if you have noticed that each war waged by the
Great Powers has always been accompanied by war propaganda and
disinformation, then, find out what they have been hiding from you.
Try to formulate your own opinion, without taboos.
Of course, do not believe us just like that. Why not ask to your
favorite journalist if he knows about this, and if he will inform his
audience ?

7. PLAN FER A CHEVAL :
Scharping, ministre allemand de la Guerre, 99 "(Nous craignions) un
fléchissement du soutien des médias, annonciateur d'un retournement de
l'opinion en faveur d'un arrêt de la campagne de bombardements de
l'OTAN et de la reprise des négociations. Une catastrophe que mon
collègue Joshka Fischer voulait à tout prix éviter."
C'est le moment d'annoncer une nouvelle sensationnelle : il disposait
depuis quelques jours de la preuve écrite que Milosevic avait
programmé pour le printemps un crime contre l'humanité de grande
ampleur au Kosovo, justifiant a posteriori l'engagement préventif de
la Bundeswehr. « Nous avons enfin la preuve que dès décembre 1998 un
nettoyage systématique et l'expulsion des Kosovars albanais avaient
été planifiées, une preuve en détail et qui nomme toutes les unités
yougoslaves qui y participent. L'analyse fait apparaître une image
effroyablement claire. J'ai décidé que le plan Fer à cheval soit rendu
public demain ».
Deux ans plus tard, le 8 février 2001, la chaine ARD diffusera un
documentaire exclusif : « Au commencement fut le mensonge ». Ce soir
là, un million de téléspectateurs allemands médusés, apprirent ce
qu'un petit nombre de personnes bien informées savaient déjà : il n'y
avait jamais eu de plan Fer à cheval serbe, et des massacres avaient
été inventés de toute pièce. Ils entendirent également l'ancien
porte-parole de l'OTAN durant la guerre, le britannique Jamie Shea,
adresser un vibrant (mais fort compromettant) hommage à l'éminente
contribution des dirigeants allemands : « Non seulement le ministre
Scharping, mais aussi le chancelier Schröder et le ministre Fischer
furent un exemple grandiose de leaders politiques qui ne s'alignent
pas sur l'opinion publique mais savent la modeler. En dépit de fâcheux
dommages collatéraux et malgré la durée des bombardements, ils ont su
maintenir le cap. Si nous avions perdu le soutien de l'opinion
publique allemande, nous aurions aussi perdu celui des pays
partenaires. ».

Voilà quelques exemples de médiamensonges parmi bien d'autres.
Des crimes ont certes été commis de tous côtés dans cette guerre. Il y
a des reproches à formuler à Milosevic. Mais l'important, ici encore,
n'est pas ce que les médias disent. C'est surtout ce qu'ils ne disent pas.
Si vous pensez que les médias vous ont parfois induit en erreur sur
l'Irak, Israël, le Vietnam, et quelques autres guerres, mais que la
Yougoslavie fut une exception, et que là, on vous a tout dit sans
manipulation, alors ne cherchez plus, et dormez bien !
Par contre, si vous avez remarqué que toute guerre des grandes
puissances a toujours été accompagnée d'une propagande de guerre et
d'une désinformation, alors, recherchez ce qu'on vous a caché. Essayez
de vous faire votre propre opinion, sans tabous.
Et, bien sûr, ne nous croyez pas sur parole. Pourquoi ne pas demander
à votre journaliste habituel s'il est au courant de tout ceci, et s'il
compte en informer son public ?
