La Serbia sul Kosovo ha il sostegno della Cina

La Serbia stima molto la posizione principiale della Cina che devono
essere rispettati il diritto internazionale e la Carta dell’ONU, che
garantiscono la sovranità e l’integrità territoriale di stati
riconosciuti in modo internazionale, ha dichiarato il premier
Vojislav Kostunica durante il colloquio con il sostituto del capo
della diplomazia cinese, Ciao Konghai. Rilevando che determinati
paesi annunciano che riconosceranno fuori dal Consiglio di sicurezza
dell’ONU, dopo la scaduta del termine formale per i negoziati, la
proclamazione unilaterale dell’indipendenza del Kosovo, Kostunica ha
avvisato che questa sarebbe una grave trasgressione del diritto
internazionale e della Carta dell’ONU. Il premier della Serbia ha
ripetuto che Belgrado annullerà ogni atto illegittimo
sull’indipendenza unilaterale della sua regione meridionale, e che,
in conformità alla Carta dell’ONU, il Kosovo e Metochia sarà sempre
una parte integrante e inalienabile della Serbia. Kostunica ha
altrettanto fatto sapere che la Serbia appoggia la politica di
un’unica Cina. Il vice ministro cinese ha evidenziato che la Cina si
sta adoperando per i negoziati fra Belgrado e Pristina senza
limitazioni temporali. La soluzione per il Kosovo non può essere
imposta, perché questo potrebbe avere conseguenze serie, ha valutato
il funzionario cinese, ed ha rilevato che soltanto quella soluzione
che sarà accettata da ambedue le parti potrebbe essere la strada per
il raggiungimento della pace e della stabilità nella regione.

Serbia appreciates China’s principled position on
necessity to respect international law, UN Charter
Belgrade – Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica
said today in a meeting with Chinese Vice Foreign
Minister Qiao Zonghuai that Serbia highly appreciates
China’s principled position on the necessity to
respect international law and the UN Charter
guaranteeing the sovereignty and territorial integrity
of internationally recognised states.
The Serbian Prime Minister said that a certain number
of states are announcing they would, disrespecting the
UN Security Council and the formal deadline of
negotiations, unilaterally acknowledge the
independence of the province of Kosovo-Metohija.
Kostunica warned that potential acknowledgment of
Kosovo-Metohija’s unilateral proclamation of
independence by some states would be a most serious
violation of international law and the UN Charter.
The Prime Minister stressed that Serbia will annul any
illegitimate act on unilateral independence and that
Kosovo-Metohija will always be an integral and
inalienable part of Serbia’s territory in accordance
with the UN Charter.
Kostunica expressed the Serbian government’s support
to one-China policy.
The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister stressed that China
as a permanent member of the UN SC respects the UN
Charter.
He stressed that China supports Belgrade-Pristina
negotiations without time limitations and that the
solution must not be imposed, as it would have serious
consequences.
Only a solution accepted by both sides is a way to
solve the issue of Kosovo-Metohija and attain peace
and stability in the region, Zonghuai pointed out.
The two officials also reached a high level of
agreement concerning the Kosovo-Metohija status
settlement.
They also stressed that China and Serbia have
traditionally good and friendly relations and that the
two countries supported each other in crucial moments.
Kostunica and Zonghuai also discussed opportunities
for commercial and economic cooperation and agreed
that an intergovernmental joint committee should hold
a session in November.
