radioattivo conseguente al bombardamento della Jugoslavia;
guerra.

"Imbrogli di guerra" e' edito dalle Edizioni Odradek
(www.eco-cooperazione.it/odradek, 06-68.33.451).

Introduction to the Vatican Bank Claims

Alperin v. Vatican Bank was originally filed in
Federal Court in San Francisco in November 1999. The
plaintiffs are concentration camp survivors of Serb,
Jewish, and Ukrainian background and their relatives
as well as organizations representing over 300,000
Holocaust victims.

The plaintiffs seek an accounting and restitution of
the Nazi Croatian Treasury that according to the US
State Department was illicitly transferred to the
Vatican and other banks after the end of the war.

Croatian Neo-Nazis named in Holocaust Lawsuit

Plaintiffs in Alperin v. Vatican Bank, a class action
lawsuit filed by Serb, Jewish and Ukrainian Holocaust
survivors seeking restitution of the Word War II
Croatian-Nazi treasury have named as defendants the
Croatian Liberation Movement and other as yet unnamed
Croatian groups in a motion filed May 3, 2000 in San
Francisco Federal Court. Other defendants include the
Vatican Bank and Franciscan Order of Monks in the
class action lawsuit filed in San Francisco Federal
Court.

A 1998 US State Department report implicated both the
Vatican, and Swiss National Bank in the disappearance
of hundreds of millions of dollars of gold, silver,
and money looted by the 1941-1945 Croatian regime
known as the Ustashe from Serbs, Jews, and others.
Plaintiffs originally filed suit in November 1999 and
later obtained wartime and postwar US government
documents under the Freedom of Information Act that
indicated the involvement of Vatican and Swiss banks
in concealing and transferring stolen gold and money
between 1944 and 1952 including cash transfers to
Croatian war criminals in Argentina.

The Croatian Neo-Nazis known as the Croatian
Liberation Movement were reestablished in Argentina in
1956 as the successors to the wartime Croatian Nazis.
The WWII wartime leader of Croatia, Ante Pavelic, the
war criminal responsible for the deaths of 750,000
Serbs, Jews, and Gypsies, served as the first leader
of the Croatian Liberation Movement until his death in
1959. The Croatian Neo-Nazis committed terrorist acts
worldwide and acted as hired mercenaries in South
America and Africa until Croatia's secession from
Yugoslavia in 1991. Their activities were funded with
the remnants of the Nazi era Croatian Treasury. After
Croatia's independence in 1991, the exiles filtered
back to Croatia to engage in yet another round of
violence and ethnic atrocities. Until last year the
son in law of Pavelic, headed the Croatian Liberation
Movement while working as a Croatian diplomat in Rome.

Croatia &
Nazi Germany

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dinko Sakic, the last known living commander of a World War II
concentration camp, was found guilty of crimes against humanity and
sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison.
Sakic, 78, was convicted of responsibility in the killings of 2,000
people
while he ran Croatia's Jasenovac concentration camp in 1944.
As Croatia's Chief Judge Drazen Tripalo announced the verdict, Sakic
applauded - apparently mocking the decision.
Jasenovac, described by Jewish groups as the "Auschwitz of the Balkans,"
was the worst of more than 20 concentration camps run by Croatia.

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST VATICAN BANK ALLEGES COMPLICITY IN
HOLOCAUST ERA WAR CRIMES

November 22, 1999
Kiev, Ukraine:

Two Ukrainian organizations, "The Ukrainian Union of Nazi Victims" and
Prisoners" and "The Organization of Antifascist Resistance Fighters,"
representing over 300,000 Ukrainian World War II victims of Nazi and
Fascist aggression announced the filing of a class action lawsuit
alleging
complicity in war crimes by the Vatican Bank and the Franciscan Order.
The
lawsuit was filed on November 15, 1999 in the United States District
Court
in San Francisco, California. Case No. C 99-4941 MMC.

This class action on behalf of all affected Ukrainian nationals, is
based
in part on a 1997 U.S. State Department Report which linked the
disappearance of the treasury of the Nazi satellite state of Fascist
Croatia to the Vatican Bank and Roman Catholic Church Officials. The
Fascist Croatian state is credited with murdering over 700,000 Serbians
between 1941 and its demise in 1945. The Serbs were brutally liquidated
in
a state sponsored killing spree aimed at cleansing Croatia of adherents
to
Eastern Orthodox Christianity and the foundation of an ethnically pure,
Roman Catholic state. Prime movers in this ethnic cleansing were
militant
Franciscan monks, many of whom held military and civil commands in
wartime
Croatia.

The Ukrainian organizations allege that Croatian army, navy, and air
force
divisions assisted the German Army in occupying Ukraine during the war.
The Croatian forces also participated in the well documented, systematic
looting of Ukraine by the Nazis. The suit seeks to recover a percentage
of
the Croatian hoard estimated to have been worth as much as 180 million
dollars in 1945.

Another Ukrainian class action was filed last August in New York on
behalf
of former Ukrainian slave laborers. While the Vatican lawsuit is smaller
in scope, it is hoped that it will force the Vatican to finally reveal
the
active participation of Roman Catholic factions in war crimes. The
majority of Ukrainians are in sympathy with the little known Serbian
Holocaust. Recent books, including the best selling "Hitler's Pope" and
a
soon to be released Argentine government report, firmly link Vatican
organizations to the Fascist Croatian state and subsequent disappearance
of its treasury following the Nazi defeat.

During World War II, Germany and Croatia were allies - both members of
the
Axis powers - both predominately Catholic populations.
During World War II - in some battles, the Germans and Croatians fought
side by side against the United States.
During World War II - the Germans wanted to eliminate the Jews - the
Croatians wanted to eliminate the Serbs.
During World War II - over 4,000,000 innocent Jews were killed by the
Germans - over 750,000 innocent Serbs were killed by the Croatian
"Ustashi."
Just as the Jews chant "Never again" - the Serbs chant "Never again"
In the early 1990's, when Croatia declared independence from the former
Yugoslavia, Germany was the first country to recognize Croatia as an
independent nation. Surprise! Surprise!
