Vostre Eccellenze,
dopo che il Tribunale dell'Aia ha eseguito l'assassinio giudiziale
del Presidente Slobodan Milosevic, un uomo che aveva coraggiosamente
difeso la verità e gli interessi del popolo serbo, ci appare
assolutamente inaccettabile ed inappropriato che i membri della sua
famiglia siano adesso soggetti a persecuzione politica.
Siamo anche convinti che i continui ricatti e pressioni esercitate
sul governo serbo da parte del tribunale illegale e dei suoi sponsor
siano solo da disprezzare, e che la pratica del tribunale di di
violare i diritti umani debba essere pienamente denunciata e le
persone responsabili debbano essere chiamate a risponderne.
Tutto questo è importante anche per resistere alle ultime mosse
mirate a staccare la provincia del Kosovo-Metohija dalla Serbia, in
violazione della Carta ONU e della Risoluzione ONU 1244. C'è urgente
bisogno adesso di una vigorosa campagna per difendere l'integrità
territoriale della Serbia.
Speriamo che le Vostre Eccellenze troveranno il modo di opporsi a
questi sviluppi negativi per la Serbia. Agendo a questo scopo,
avreste il nostro sostegno pieno e sincero.

Your Excellencies,
After the Hague tribunal carried out the judicial murder
of President Slobodan Milosevic, a man who had bravely defended the
truth and the interests of the Serbian people, we find it totally
unacceptable and inappropriate that the members of his family are now
being subjected to political persecution.
We are also convinced that the continuing blackmail and
pressure by the illegal tribunal and its sponsors on the Serbian
government deserve only disdain, and that the tribunal's practice of
violating human rights must be totally exposed and the persons
responsible made accountable.
All that is also important to resist the latest moves to
sever the province of Kosovo-Metohija from Serbia, in violation of
the UN Charter and UN Resolution 1244. A vigorous campaign to defend
the territorial integrity of Serbia is urgently needed at this time.
We hope that Your Excellencies will find a way to oppose
these negative developments for Serbia. In acting toward that end,
you would have our full and sincerest support.
